Paul Stanley's Booksigning Las Vegas!

During our stay in Las Vegas to see 3 KISS shows, we had finally the opertunity to attend our first booksigning ever!
And to top it all...we went to the signing of Paul Stanley's book Face The Music - A Life Exposed!
The event was hold @ the Hardrock Hotel & Casino in the special pop-up KISS store on november 8th, we made sure we were there early, we were number 5 & 6 in line. Around 1 pm Paul arrived and we got excited.
A few minutes later we got in, bought the book and we had our meet & greet with him. He was in great spirit and very friendly to us, as he was when we meet him on our first day in Las Vegas! He took time enough for our photo's and these turned out awesome!
This first booksigning was such a great experience for us and we hope we'll get the chance to attend some more in the future...

Our Visit To The KISS Monster Mini Golf!

When we were in Las Vegas for the KISS Las Vegas Residency, we also visiting the KISS Monster Mini Golf a couple of times! It was great to see this place now for real!
On the evening when we've arrived in Vegas we went to the KMMG to check it out, Eric Carr's Porsche was right in the entrance and of course we took pics of the car. All around the place were display's with all kind of KISS merchandise (looked like our home, lol) and posters and T-shirts on the walls. The golf erea was big and we could see some of the KISS statues on the play field. But it was late and we decided to play some golf the next day.
There was also a shop located with a lot of KMMG items for sale as well KISS Merchandise and as a collector myself I was like a kid in the candy shop, lol. We looked around and of course we bought some items.

Besides play golf and get married on the Love Gun stage, you could also put on Gene's or Paul's Boots on and take some photo's as you wear them. I always want to walk in Gene's Destroyer Boots, so I put them on and I can tell you it isn't easy to walk around in them!

The next morning it was time for us to play some KISS golf. Every hole had a KISS theme as big guitars, big heads of the Demon, Starchild, Spaceman & Catman, boots and more. We enjoyed playing and had a lot of fun.

After our KISS Golf experience, we had to check out the KISS Love Gun Wedding Chappel, were you can get married or renew your vows. We had the desire to have a photo with us on that Love Gun stage and we now have it!

After our last KISS show in Las Vegas we went back to the Monster Golfto play golf one last time and we loved it!

Our Trip To See KISS Rocks Las Vegas!!!

Right after the KISS Kruise IV we took a flight to Las Vegas to see KISS for 3 shows at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino!
We landed in the evening, so in the darkness we could see all the lights from the Strip. We arrived at the HRH and when we checked in we got some cool KISS room keycards and when we took the elevator to our room the doors had KISS images all over them! later when we walked through the hotel, we saw KISS everywhere, on slotmachines, pokertables, behind the incheckdesk there was a rotating KISS display, we had KISS don't disturb tags, KISS cards, KISS menu's, KISS cocktails, a special KISS store, staff was in KISS shirts. There were KISS pokerchips, KISS displays, huge KISS banners in and outside the hotel and even on big bilboards around the city!
Outside the HRH was the Hard Rock Cafe, even they had KISS displays and more. That evening we also visit the KISS Monster Mini Golf that was located near the HRH, they had a huge shop with cool items for sale, ahhh that's what a collector needs, lol. The place rocks and we decided to play golf the next day (our KMMG report will be coming soon!) and went back to our hotel to get some dinner.
When we had placed our order in the restaurant, I saw suddenly Paul Stanley sitting 2 tables from us, having dinner too! OMG we could believe this! So try now to eat something! There weren't any more KISS fans there, so when Paul was ready to leave the place, we asked him for a photo and it was no problem at all! We'll never forget this moment! What better way for us to start our KISS Las Vegas Residency this way?

The next day after our visit to the KISS Monster Mini Golf we took the KISS Bus to the strip to check out all the happenings there. All we can say, Vegas is a great city! We had to come back to the HRH early because KISS would arrive in a helicopter in front of the HRH to kick of their shows.
We got a good spot and when the KISScopter landed we almost blew away from the roters, lol. Soon after it was landed Gene, Paul, Tommy & Eric stepped out and posted for press pics. Than they came our way and everyone there went nuts. This was so cool to witness, what a way to start the residency, with KISS there's never a dull moment!

After this it was time for us to get ready for show 1. We had GA stand tickets for this show, we made sure we were early to get a good spot and Lucky we did. The Joint isn't that big and where ever you stand our sit, you could see the show perfect. There wasn't any support act and around 8:20 pm, lights went out and it's time for KISS!
When the show started big lightdisplays-doors slide to each site and there they were, Eric on his drumriser coming down and Gene, Paul & Tommy on the stage! They had a brand new stage design, special made for these 9 shows, with big screens around the stage and even on the ceiling. A brand new light show with lasers! They started with Creatures Of The Night:

With the new lighthows, lasers and screens, the show was so much cooler to watch, you didn't knew where to look, lol. During Love Gun Paul flew to a little stage on the right balcony. But he stayed much longer as usual on that stage and when the song was over he started with the intro of Black Diamond. Suddenly he grab the flying stick and he flew through the venue, above us, to the left balcony to a second stage and continue with Black Diamond and than returning to the main stage! This was new and very welcomed by us!
KISS played for 100 minutes or so and we had a great time, we liked the new stage with the light/laser show, big screens and there was more pyro and bombs than ever before!
This was the setlist: Creatures Of The Night, Psycho Circus, Parasite, Tears Are Falling, Let Me Go, Rock ‘N’ Roll, Lick It Up, I Love It Loud, Hell Or Hallelujah, Bass Solo, God Of Thunder, Detroit Rock City, Love Gun, Black Diamond, Shout It Out Loud, I Was Made For Lovin’ You & Rock And Roll All Nite
Here's a selection of the photo's from the 3 shows:

The next we check out Las Vegas, the Strip, to check out all the beautifull big hotels, all the stores and also visited the Pawn Stars Shop. In the evening we visit the Freemont Street Experience (we had a great time there) and we went back to the Strip to see it all again in all the lights! We had such a great time to see all those famous hotels, casino's and all the action on the Strip!

On Friday it was time for our second KISS show, but first we took a trip to the famous welcome to Las Vegas sign and went back to the strip. After we had some dinner at Vince Neil's restaurant Tatuado we returned to our hotel.
Around 7:30 pm we got to The Joint for KISS show 2, this time we had a seat at Gene's site. Suddenly a lot of people looked up to the middle of the venue and when we looked we saw Gene & Tommy get ready on the platform. This time the show had a new beginning and yes, when the show started they came down on the little platform to the big stage. So cool beginning of show 2!

The setlist was the same and this time we could feel the heat of the pyro's intenser!

During Love Gun, when Paul came flying to the little platform on the right side of the venue, we noticed that now he would walk around, instead of flying to the second platform! He had a lot of fun doing this, walking left and right high up in The Joint!

So cool to see another change in the show! We had luck to got a guitarpick from Gene this time and of course we had a blast!

On saturday we got to Paul's booksigning and this was so awesome for us to finally experience this!
Later we went to the Hard Rock Cafe to had some dinner and for we knew it, it was time for KISS show 3, our last show in Vegas for us.
This time we went earlier to The Joint, we want to make sure we got a good spot again with our GA standing tickets and we got, right behind the bars, we could see everything perfectly! This time the show started as the first one and they dropped I Was Made For Lovin' You and played Deuce.
When Paul flew over, we had a great view at him and we such a great time! We enjoyed this third show as much as we did our first! When it all was over for us, we want to stay, see more shows, see more KISS!
But it isn't over, till it's over! So right after the show we went to the KMMG to play golf, for the last time and we finished our trip with some KISS cocktails at the HRH, not thinking at our flight back home the next day at 8 am!
What can we say about this trip? Nothing more than that we had a awesome time with 3 great KISS shows, meeting Paul, visiting the KMMG and of course Las Vegas!!!
Here's a selection of our photo's:

KISS Kruise IV - Dressed To Kruise!!!

On october 29th we landed in Miami for our 3th KISS Kruise, checked in at the Holliday Inn and then we saw Lydia Criss in the hotel lobby. We went over to say hi to her, get our photo's signed from last year and took some new ones.
After some diner we went to the pre-party at Grand Central were we saw Tigertailz & Jack Russel's Great White live, we had a great evening.
The day after it was time to sail again with KISS. This year we had a extra day on the ship, so now we're 6 days Kruisin' with KISS instead of 5! Cheap Trick was special guest on the pre-party and they gave a great show. Then it was time to got some Kruise merchandise and we bought a couple of T-Shirts, Hoodie and more cool items.

The next day the Kruise really starts with KISS coming on board, we saw Gene, Tommy, Eric & Paul (with their families) when they arrived, so cool again!

In the evening we went to Tommy Thayer's Halloween contest, first row and we saw some cool creations coming by.
Saturday KISS would perform live for the first time on this Kruise. But because of the "rockin" sea, the beach show on Great Stirrup Bay was cancelled and now they would play on the pooldeck. This was fine with us, we see them rather play here than on the beach. So we were early enough to get a good spot, 4th row.
At 1:30 pm it was time for the KISS Unplugged show, the band was in great spirit, joking and laughing all the time. They played only a few rare tunes as "See You Tonight"! We had a blast and were lucky enough to catch some guitarpicks.

This was the setlist: Comin Home, Plaster Caster, Got To Choose, God Of Thunder, Hide Your Heart, Christine Sixteen, Nothin To Lose, Love Her All I Can, See You Tonite, Hard Luck Woman, All The way, Shock Me, Hotter Than Hell, Firehouse, C´mon And Love Me, Cold Gin & Do You Love Me.
Here's a selection of our photo's:

After diner it was time for the KISS Q&A and we had almost the same spot on the pooldeck as with the unplugged show. Amoung the questions that have been asked to the band, was what the fans could expect at the Las Vegas shows? A brand new stage, specialy designed for the Joint. Also they announced a European tour in 2015!
Later we checked out some other bands out, 1 of them was the Pat Travisband and suddenly Eric & Tommy came on stage and played some songs with them, later also Paul's son Evan played with them and Paul was in the audience and watch it all.
Later that evening we've meet Evan and he was very cool to us and it was no problem to take photo's with him.

The next day we got up early to get our Paul cabo wabo cup, we already had the ones from Eric & Tommy, these are going fast and on 11 am they hadn't any left. Tomorrow we've to be sure to get our Gene one too, to complete our set.
Also we had a stop in Nassau (Bahama's) we got of the ship and went to visit this town. Not so great as Key West.
Today it was also for us to see KISS live again for the second time! The first indoor show at the Stardust. We went early to get a good spot, left standing area, at Gene's site.
Around 9 pm it was time...KISS came on stage, in their Dressed To Kill suites! A huge applause was to hear from all the fans! Man...this looks so awesome, we knew we'll never see this again! This was so unique, one of a kind experience, this was KISStory in the making and we were there!
They started with Creatures Of The Night and the whole place went nuts!

We saw Shannon & Sophie rockin'and dancing on the upper level and everybody had a great time! This was the setlist: Creatures Of The Night, Psycho Circus, War Machine, Plaster Caster, Tears Are Falling, Let Me Go Rock And Roll, Lick It Up, Calling Dr. Love, Hell Or Hallelujah, I Love It Loud, Detroit Rock City, Love Gun, Black Diamond, Shout It Out Loud, The Oath & Rock And Roll All Nite

Again the band enjoyed themselves and we think they know also how rare and unique this Dressed To Kill theme show was! And for we know it, the show was over! And all we could think, we want more, lol!

Here's a selection of our photo's from this special performance:

After the show we went straight to the Tigertailz show and they gave a great performance and a perfect closing of this day!

On monday november 3th it was a day for us with a lot of KISS activities, but first we had to get our last Cabo Wabo cup, the Gene one to complete or set, and we got him!
Than it was time for our first bandmember activity: Gene's guitarpick throwing contest, he didn't win this time. Also Shannon & Sophie came on the stage and were throwing picks, we got some cool ones from Gene!
After this, Paul's bookreading was next, he spoke about certain things from his book and this event was much appreciated by us than the belly flop contest he did in the past years, also Evan watch it from the back.

The Doc Mc.Gee Q&A was up next and he also confirmed there'll be a European tour next year and that the Las Vegas shows will be taped. About KISSology IV...next year. Doc also asked us what be thought about the setlist, fans make sure that they didn't liked it and wanted more rare songs! He said he would pass this to the band.
Here's a selection of our photo's:

After the Q&A it was time for us to get ready for our KISS photo shoot. Because it's Dressed To Kill theme we decided to go in style! Around 7 pm our photo with the band got taken and we were so curious how the photo would look. But we could not hope for a better result, the photo looks so awesome to us, because we weared the same as on our wedding day, it's our "second wedding photo"!
Next up was KISS indoor show 2, we watched it on a big screen in the Atrium. They played some other songs than the first night, such as Parasite. When the show was over we stayed there to see the Big Rock Show and this performance finished this day.
Here's a selection of photo's from our experience:

Tuesday november 4th (excact 30 years ago I saw my first KISS show in Zwolle, The Netherlands during their Animalize world tour in 1984!) was our last morning on the Pearl. KISS Kruise IV was over for us, but we had such a great time, again a unique experience for us and we had blast!
But we were not sad at all. Because we went straight over to the airport to see 3 KISS shows in Las Vegas...
