Our Final Boom @ Graspop!

On june 27/28th we got our final Boom!
Our last KISS show from the Sonic Boom Over Europe Tour 2010 was at the Graspop festival in Belgium and ended at 1:15 am.
Once again KISS played a great show, even when it was their last of this European tour, they still played their asses off. At Graspop they were still have funn and played for more than 2 hours. We hope we'll see KISS one more time in Europe in the future…
What can we say about this tour?
We had a awesome time! Seeing 5 shows in 1 month, 3 times we stood front row and 2 times second or third row. KISS had a cool stage, liked the big videowall, great pyro, played great songs and  loved the (new) stage tricks, like the bazooka during Eric's & Tommy duel solo!
We cann't believe it's all over now, we still got the feeling that we'll go to another show in a copple of days…
What a tour, what a experience!
So, check out a selection of photo's from their last gig…

Our Meet & Greet With KISS In Arnhem!!!

June 18th 2010 – Gelredome – Arnhem – The Netherlands.

A unforgetable day for us in our KISStory! This day KISS played a show in our home country and we got our second Meet & Greet with our favorite band! We did our first Meet & Greet in 2008 in Oberhausen, but this time our Meet & Greet was a special one…this time we did it as a married couple! We’ve met eachother at a KISS show in Mannheim during the Alive 35 European tour.

We arrived around 12:30 pm at the Gelredome, checked the place out and talked to a lot of fans. We had to meet Dean Snowden at 6 PM, so we did, we got our laminate and we had to check in with him at 7:30 pm at the box office. So we all got a little nervous when that time came closer. Finally Dean came and took us upstairs to the meeting room. He handed our Meet & Greet items out, as Tourbook, Poster, Guitarpicks and Signed Photo as well a circle band so that we could get in the first section on the floor at the concert later. So, all we have to do is wait till KISS would come in…

Around 8: 25 PM Doc Mcgee came in and introduced the band…Tommy Thayer, Eric Singer, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. And the funn begun, we got our photo’s with the band taken, in total 6 (!) with the band in a great mood, Paul sung and they all made funn and jokes.

After the photoshoot was done, we had to make a line and all the members came to you, one for one, so we had time to chat, let our stuff signed and to take photo’s with them! They all were empressed as we asked them to sign our weddingdocument and when they heard that we got married just a week ago, they were stunned! Especially Paul & Eric found that very romantic… During the Meet & Greet Marina’s tattoo was filmed for Family Jewels and also they were filming for KISSology IV!

Around 9:05 PM it was all over for us. What can we say? Did we get what we came for? YES! Was it better than the one we did in 2008? YES! For us it was a special unforgettable time with the band! Here are our official KISS Meet & Greet photo’s…

Here’s our own video (edit) from the Meet & Greet, with signing session! Enjoy…

Here are some photo’s from our Meet & Greet with KISS
Gene & Me.
Gene & Marina. Me & Eric. Marina & Eric.

Me & Tommy.

Eric signs my items.

Gene signs my items.

What can we say about the show, after our Meet & Greet experience? We had good places, second row at Gene’s site. KISS where awesome! They had fun and really where in a good mood. We had some interaction with Gene & Tommy, so we enjoyed our selves. It was a very special moment for us, when they played a part of “our song” Forever… The rest of the setlist was the same, they played about 140 minutes and we had a blast!
Finally we got our KISS Sonic Boom Meet & Greet Package in! It's the same as the Platinum Package (below) but with a total different awesome T-shirt. This is our KISS Sonic Boom Platinum Tour Package, that we got in! The package include a Tourbook, Limited Numbered Print, a cool Platinum T-Shirt, 2 KISS Plectrums & Flyer

KISS Live @ Rock Am Ring 3-6-2010

After a day recovering from the 2 KISS shows in Hamburg & Oberhausen, it was time to be Boomed again at the Rock Am Ring festival on june 3th. It was only a 90 minutes drive, so we arrived around 1 PM at the festival, it was a hassle to find a parkingplace, but once we had we waited untill we could get in. The ring opened at 5 PM, we thought it would be sooner, after we checked the (merchandise) stands we walked to the first centersection before the stage. Again we stood first row! We only had to wait untill the KISS show began.

Around 9 PM KISS took over Rock Am Ring, there where many camera’s on and around the stage, because this show would be broadcast live on several TV channels in Germany. The band enjoyed themselves with this gig, it was their biggest European crowd ever…85000 people saw them today! When we looked to the back we saw people as fas as we could see.

During the show we saw Doc Mcgee walking around, talked to him a bit and we took a copple of pics with him…

KISS played the same setlist as the 2 shows before and a full show including all the tricks. When Paul had to fly, during I Was Made For Lovin’ You it looks that the cable hung a bit low, but everything went well. We had a great time again and it was awesome to see KISS play for such a large crowd. We where glad to be a part of this.
So, enjoy a selection of the photo’s I made from Rock Am Ring…

Getting Boomed In Hamburg & Oberhausen!

On may 31th, almost 2 years after their European Alive 35 tour in 2008, we drove to Hamburg (Germany) to see our first (of 5) Sonic Boom Over Europe KISS Show! After a 5 hour trip we arrived in Hamburg, checked in our hotel and went to the Color Line Arena. We had VIP Experience Tickets, went to the VIP-entrance and untill the doors went open we talked to a lot of fans. Around 6 PM we got in, got our VIP Laminates and after a copple of minutes we could get a early entrance to the floor. Thanks to the early entrance we got awesome places, front row in the middle of the stage! All we now had to do was waiting untill the BOOM hit us…

And yes, at 8:59 PM we heard the announcement: "You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best…The Hottest Band On The World…KISS"!!! They opened with Modern Day Delilah with rising Gene, Paul & Tommy over Eric's drumkit! And the rock & roll party was begun, from the first song to the last one, we sang along, clapped, yelled and because of standing front row we saw everything up close! We could almost touch them. We saw Gene breaths fire and his blood spitting act up close, Paul's amazing jumps up close and we could see KISS sweat, every line of their faces, feel the heat of the flames and the "killing" smoke, lol.

During the show, we got a lot of attention from the band, they looked us in the eyes, throwed guitarpics and more to us. We ended up with 3 Paul guitarpics, 1 Gene & Tommy guitarpic and Eric's drumstick! So you can understand this was a awesome night for us.

KISS played a set of 21 songs, during the guitarsolo of Shock Me, Tommy's guitar wasn't hooked up properly and fall off on the stage. Eric's & Tommy's duel-solo was great, especially during Eric's bazooka trick. Also they played a accoustic version of Beth, sung by Eric, for the first time since years! Besides Modern Day Delilah they played also I'm A Animal & Say Yeah (sounded so good live!) from their latest album Sonic Boom.

This is the setlist: Modern Day Delilah, Cold Gin, Let Me Go Rock `N` Roll, Firehouse (Gene breaths fire) Say Yeah, Deuce, Crazy Crazy Nights, Calling Dr. Love, Shock Me (Duelsolo Eric & Tommy) I´m An Animal, 100,000 Years, I Love It Loud (Gene spits blood) Love Gun, Black Diamond, Detroit Rock City. Encores: Beth (accoustic version) Lick It Up, Shout It Out Loud, I Was Made For Lovin You (Paul flying act), God Gave Rock And Roll To You & Rock And Roll All Night.

Around 11 PM it was all over, we had a awesome experience, what a show!
We where BOOMED by KISS

So, enjoy now a selection of more than 300 photo's I made from KISS Boomed Hamburg…

The next day, we drove about 370 KM to see KISS again in Oberhausen (Germany) First we went to the expo, spoke to a lot of fans who praise me about my weblog, thanks! At the expo all kind of merchandise was for sale, also a special priced Gene Simmons Axe Bass Guitar (used by Gene in Hamburg) including a Meet & Greet with Gene, was for sale for 2800,- Euro's. Outside the expo was the Gene Axe Van parked and we took a copple of pics with it…

At 9 PM it was time to be Boomed again and KISS performed a great show in a sold out arena in Oberhausen! They played the same setlist including the accoutic version of Beth. We stood front row again, right before Tommy! When Shout It Loud was finished all the fans keep singing Shout It Out Loud over and over. Also to hear the fans singing during the bridge part of God Give Rock & Roll To You was very cool.
Here's a pic of us @ the show in Oberhausen…

During this show Spiro made a photo of Marina's tattoo, that was posted later on KISSonline! Here it is amoung other fans tatoos…

KISS was awesome again tonight and we had a blast, 2 awesome shows in 2 days! It was time to recover from the Sonic Boom for a day, because coming up for us was KISS live @ Rock Am Ring…

My KISS Guitar Collection!

Finally the wait is over! I’ve tried to get my hands on it for almost 15 years…

Today my Gene Simmons AXE GS-2 Bassguitar arrived!!!

A big package was waiting for me at home…

When I opened up the package I saw Gene’s face looking at me (LOL) on the beautiful Gig Bag

I couldn’t wait to open up the bag to see the AXE and hold one for the first time in my hands. Wow, what a feeling…what a awesome guitar!!!

The AXE is 34 " in size, has a hard maple neck, rosewood fretboard, diecast tuners and Might Mite pickups in a P/J configuration. Take a closer look to the details…

And here it is hanging on my wall of KISS Guitars, a real eye-catcher!!!

My Paul Stanley Washburn Guitars!

When the new Paul Stanley Washburn Guitar line came out last year, I really like some of them, like the PS400G ones. But I decided not to buy one, because of the high price and because I really would like to add a Gene Simmons guitar to my collection. When I finally got my hands on a Punisher earlier this year (scroll down to read my story about the Punisher) all options where open again, but as owner of 3 Paul Silvertone Guitars in my collection (scroll down to read my story about these guitars) I wasn’t serious thinking to buy one of Paul’s new guitars…

A copple of weeks ago, I was contacted by a local guitarshop with the question if I was interrested in a Paul Stanley Washburn Guitar Set? Sure I was, but still in my mind the expected high price I probely not want to buy this set. The shop-owner invited me to come over and take a look to the guitars and talk about the price. So I went over and expected the guitars, who looked awesome! When I finally hear the offer he makes me for 5 (!) guitars, I knew I shouldn’t pass this by…After a week of serious thinking I decided to take the offer and bought them! So take a look to my Paul Stanley Designed PS400G Electric Washburn Guitar Set

The set includes 4 guitars with 4 amazing color custom Paul graphics…

Each guitar comes with a custom Paul Stanley Gig Bag, Signature Guitar Strap, Cord & 3 Paul Stanley Signature Guitar Picks

Besides these 4 PS400G electric guitars this offer also included a 5th guitar: a Paul Stanley PS11E Electric/Accoustic Washburn Guitar including a custom Gig Bag, Signature Guitar Strap & 3 Guitar Picks, scroll down to the latest photo to see this guitar…
These Paul Washburn Guitars are very cool, the graphics are awesome and I like the sound of them better than the past guitar line of Paul. I’ve admit that, when I didn’t got that offer, it would have probely take years to collect them…

My Gene Simmons Punisher!

I was searching for this guitar for almost 10 years! It wasn’t easy to find one. And if I find one there where a lot of reasons why I didn’t bought it, like the guitar was in the US, no signature or signature was wiped off, to high price ect. But finally I got him! I’m talking about the Gene Simmons Punisher Guitar

My black Punisher has never been played! The inlays in the neck of the guitar are still new. All strings are still the original ones. Still has the plastic on the cavity cover (back) and has also the bridge guard…

The Punisher came in his original leather guitar case with the Logo.
Gene’s original signature is still 100% intact, nothing of the signature has been wiped off! (white dots in pic is just dust)

There are only 1000 made of this Punisher and every guitar has been numbered by Gene himself!
So, after almost 10 years of searching I have finally add The Punisher to my KISS Collection…

So, here’s a photo of my wall of KISS Guitars…
