We just added this new The Rise Of The Fox 1950-1982 Book to our collection today!
This book about the extraordinary life of KISS's second drummer Eric Carr tells all about his life in unprecedented detail, from his humble beginnings as a young boy who picked up a pair of drumsticks, to his unexpected rise to fame as a contract member of KISS!
This book is volume one and volume two is expected end 2024, early 2025.

This raised an eyebrow with us, but there's also not much information about the reality of what it may entail as an experience. We may change our minds...

KISS Live In New York - The Last Show Ever!!!

The expectations among fans where high tonight for KISS Live In New York - The Last Show Ever!
At 8:45 PM we heard the famous announcement: You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best, The Hottest Band In The World: KISS!
As soon as the curtain came down, Gene, Paul & Tommy came down to the stage on their platforms surrounded with a lot of pyro, bombs and smoke, with Eric behind his drumkit coming down behind them!
The band acted very loose on stage and had fun with eachother. Paul refured to the first time they played in the MSG in 1977 with his parents sitting on the left side and Gene's mother on the right side.
Of course all the well-known show highlights passed by, Tommy shooting off rockets during his guitar solo and letting some ufo pods exploding, Eric’s drum solo, with towel and his drumkit rising up. Gene spitting fire and his bloody bass solo, followed by his flight to the platform high above the stage during God Of Thunder and Paul flew over the crowd to the little stage at the back of the venue to perform Love Gun.
Several times Gene & Paul hughed and pointed to eachother. During the show Paul thanked the KISS Army for celebrate this milestone together with them!
The show ended with of course Rock And Roll All Night with lots of confetti, garlands, bombs, pyro and smoke. This time Gene, Paul & Tommy going up on risers at the middle of the stage, Eric going up on his drum riser and of course, the ultimate frontman, Paul smashing his guitar!
Then it was over, with a lot of smoke on the stage a annoucement was seen:

A New Erea Begins!!!

As I said before, the expectations among fans where high for this last show ever...
But there were no suprises at all, no ex-members and it was the same live show and setlist as in Europe last summer. This was the setlist:
Detroit Rock City, Shout It Out Loud, Deuce, Warmachine (Gene breathes fire) Heaven's On Fire, I Love It Loud, Say Yeah, Cold Gin (with Tommy's guitar solo) Lick It Up, Calling Dr. Love, Makin' Love, Psycho Circus (with Eric's drum solo) God Of Thunder (with Gene's bass solo & flying to the platform above the stage) Love Gun (Paul flying to stage) I Was Made For Lovin' You & Black Diamond. Encore: Beth (Eric on piano) Do You Love Me & Rock and Roll All Night.

After 44 years and 37 years of obsessed KISS fandom respectively for myself and Marina and after 75 and 54 live performances under our belts, KISS Kruises and a lot of personal meetings and interactions with band members over those decades it all came to this epic finale!
We want to thank Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, Peter Criss, Eric Carr, Bruce Kulick, Tommy Thayer & Eric Singer for 50 years of rock & roll!
All the awesome, fantastic & fun times we had, all the emotions we experienced, all the excitement we had everytime we saw a show all over the world!
Thank you KISS, it was a extravanganza, heartbreaking and unforgettable journey!!!

Yesterday we got the new Eric Carr Rockology Picture Disc Vinyl RSD Black Friday edition in our hands!
The release of this album is a great way to pay tribute and remember KISS drummer Eric Carr who passed away 32 years ago today!

This collector edition comes with a solo album style 12" by 24" poster (just like the KISS solo albums from 1978)

This 192 pages hardcover book comes with many photo's and a gatefold KISS time line. It was a pleasure to read this book...

In 2019 we've added the Gene Simmons Moneybag Soda Bottles to our collection!

We were lucky enough to get 4 different flavors:
Cola, Ginger Ale, Diet Cola & Cream Soda.
The bottles have great labels with awesome graphic designs on them.

KISS Dressed To Kill NYC Throwback Figures!

Finally we added these KISS Dressed To Kill - New York City - Throwback Figures to our collection today!
These figures were released in 2018, but it took a while before we got our hands on a full set and make our figures toy collection complete.

Each figure includes an authentic cloth outfit.

The figures are 8" in size and limited edition of 300 worldwide.

These figures are not the same Dressed To Kill Series 5 figures or the re-issue ones from the past.

These are based on the 2014 spring summer photo campaign and (the mean reason we wanted them) the KISS Kruise IV - Dressed To Kruise of the same year! These figures always remember us of this epic experience we were part of, with their shows and our photo with the band in their Dressed To Kill suites...

KISS: Thank You Europe!

As the dust begins to settle on the final KISS European tour, we're thinking about at all the good memories we had with our favorite band overhere! Between 1979 and 2023 we saw them 51 times all over Europe, in the UK, Germany, Luxembourgh, Szechie, Norway, Belgium and of course The Netherlands.
It's not easy to choose, but some of my/our memorable European KISS shows was my first show on november 4th 1984 in Zwolle, my first reunion show on august 17th 1996 @ Donnington, our first Meet & Greet Experience & show on may 9th 2008 in Oberhaunsen, our first show as a married couple on june 18th 2010 in Arnhem, Seeing the Spiderstage on june 14th 2013 in Prague or the show with soundcheck on july 21th 2022 in Amsterdam. There are just to many to mention with all the amazing memories we have to the shows we attended and the personal meetings and interactions with band members over all those decades, it has been a rollercoaster ride for us.
Thank you KISS, it was a extravanganza, heartbreaking and unforgettable journey...

KISS Live In Cologne!

On july 2th we saw KISS live in Cologne, it was their last final tour show in Germany ever. We arrived at the Lanxess Arena around 7 pm, we had super seats, first row at Gene’s side.
Around 9 pm the lights went out and on the screens there’s a video showing that the band is walking to the stage. Here’s the video of it:

Moments later we heard the famous announcement: You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best, The Hottest Band In The World: KISS!
As soon as the curtains came down, with Detroit Rock City, we were cheering, jumping, singing along with every song they played this evening.

This show was special to us in many ways, one of them was that this was my lovely wife's 54th and my 75th KISS show!
The venue was packed with 17.000 fans and sold out. Everyone on the balconies was standing and the party was on.

The band was in top form, Paul is still jumping, dancing and moves like he’s a young boy, Gene is still the lord of the wastelands, sticking out his tongue, drooling, spitting fire. Tommy ‘s guitar solos are out of this world and Eric pounds the drums like a warrior.

During Calling Dr. Love Gene noticed us and kept pointing to us. Such a great moment!
The inflatable figures were back at each side of the stage (they weren’t there in Brussels) but the screens at the sides and in front of Eric’s drumkit were not there this time. Some changes in the setlist compared to the Amsterdam & Brussels shows we attended, Do You Love Me was dropped and I Was Made For Lovin' You was moved to the encores. Gene is now spitting fire during I Love It Loud. Also the guitar duel between Paul & Tommy was now on the risers at the ends of the stage.

There were some funny moments in the show, Gene let the crowd knew he can spell Köln (Cologne) with an Umlaut. He also spit water on some fans, pretending it was raining, Paul beated on Gene’s armor, pretending it hurted,lol.
Of course all the well-known show highlights passed by, Tommy shooting off rockets during his guitar solo and letting some ufo pods exploding, Eric’s drum solo, with towel and his drumkit rising up.

Paul flew over the crowd to the little stage at the back of the venue to perform Love Gun and the beginning of Black Diamond. And we loved everything!
With KISS balloons coming down from the ceiling of the venue during I Was Made For Lovin’ You we knew which song was up next.

It would be their last ever played song in Germany: Rock And Roll All Night with lots of confetti, garlands, bombs, pyro and smoke. Gene & Tommy going up on the risers at the ends of the stage, Eric going up on his drum riser and of course, the ultimate frontman, Paul smashing his guitar.

Then it was over, with Gene, Paul, Tommy & Eric bow to the fans and Paul saying: We’ll never forget you they all thanked the fans and then they left the stage…(BTW can you spot us on the photo below?)

We were sweaty, hot, covered by confetti, feeling mixed emotions…sad…excited…al at once!

It hasn’t really sunk in yet that this show in Cologne is probably our last. If this is indeed the last time we’ve see KISS in Europe or worldwide, we want to thank Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, Peter Criss, Eric Carr, Bruce Kulick, Tommy Thayer & Eric Singer for all shows they give between 1976 & 2023 in Europe! All the awesome, fantastic & fun times we had, all the emotions we experienced, all the excitement we had everytime we saw a show.
Thank you KISS, it was a extravanganza, heartbreaking and unforgettable journey!
But the party isn’t over till it’s really over, as Paul said in Brussels during the sound check: there’s more to come for KISS…

Our KISS Meet & Greet Experience In Brussels!!!

On june 13th we had our KISS Meet & Greet Experience In Brussels, Belgium!!!

We're so happy with our great photo's backstage at their last final show in Belgium!
When it was our turn to meet the band Paul Stanley pointed to us and said it's great to see you again, and Gene Simmons was so awesome to us, as was Tommy Thayer & Eric Singer! We had such cool interactions with them all, we couldn't have a better experience with our favorite band! We had a such incredible time and a special big thank you for our special friend who made this possible for us...

During the Q@A there was a interesting question: what will happen after the last KISS tour show? With Paul answering: KISS will continue in more than 1 way, a lot more is coming...

After our Meet & Greet with the band we got to our seats and after a few minutes it was time for our favorite band, we just saw a copple of minutes ago!

Paul said that this was the 6th time that they played in the Brussels and the fans were awesome & crazy here.

Second encore was Do You Love Me with the KISS balloons falling down on the fans. Next it was the song we didn't want to hear yet, we still hadn't enough. But the end of the show was coming with of course Rock And Roll All Night with a lot of confetti, bombs, pyro and smoke. Gene & Tommy went up on the risers with Eric up on his drumriser and of course Paul smashing his guitar.

And then the show is over. Feeling hot but satisfied! Setlist was the same as in Amsterdam last night.

We had a amazing time!
Words can say not enough how we feel with meeting our favorite band today! We'll never forget this special day!

There'll be 1 more European show for us, on july 2th in Cologne, Germany...
