Our KISS Kruise VII Experience!!!

We arrived in New Orleans in the evening. After we checked in to our hotel, we got some diner and explored the city of NOLA. The city has some nice spots, but totally different than Miami. The next morning we visited some local shops and the French market.
After we've checked out our hotel, we got a cab to the port of New Orleans and it was time for the KISS Kruise VII, our 6th time that we are sailing with KISS!
Before we went on board of the Pearl, we got a great photo for giant KISS statues.

Once on board we saw a lot of familiar faces and after many hugs and catch up with eachother we went outside, because we knew the band will be arriving soon. Just a few minutes later we shook hands with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Shannon, Sophie, Eric Singer, Tommy Thayer & Doc McGee, how cool is this!
Here's our video of Paul Stanley & his family arrival:

Here's our video of Gene Simmons & his family, Tommy Thayer, Eric Singer & Doc. McGee's arrival:

When we catch our breath we went to the restaurant, inside they had curved out melons of the KISS members placed all over, so cool. After the drill we went as fast as we could to the pool deck, and we got a very good spot, second row at Gene's side. But we had to wait for 2 hours before the show, in the mean time we got our first Kruise Cabo Cups and around 6 PM there was the welcome shot hosted by our captains KISS! Followed by a group photo with the band and fans. A few minutes later it was time for the sail away show and they started with Comin' Home. The band sounded awesome and it was great to see them again. Always a incredible feeling when you see the sail away show on the boat while sailing away from the port.
Here's our video of A World Without Heroes:

They played some cool tunes, like Love Her All I Can, See You Tonite & Every Time I Look At You:

As always we had a blast during the show and it all ends to soon. KISS delivered again and this was just day 1!
Here's a selection of our photo's:

Then we headed over to the merchandise lounge, we bought some T-Shirts, Hoodies, a Bag and some other items.
At 9 PM it was time for, the first time ever on a KISS Kruise, Bruce Kulick's show on the pooldeck! Together with his brother Bob, they played a killer setlist, with all KISS songs we never had heard live before or hadn't heard in a long time! Like Wouldn't You Like To Know Me, Who Wants To Be Lonely, Goodbye, Turn On The Night and many more! Here's our video of Nowhere To Run:

We had the time of our lives. Wow! We were wondering if KISS could top this...
We ended our first day with a great diner.

Day 2:
After we had bought our secondKISS cup, the one from Tommy, at 9 AM (yep that early) we had breakfast and then it was time for the KISS World Panel on the pooldeck. Guests included were: Bruce & Bob Kulick, "Big" John Harte, Lydia Criss and for the first time ever: Micheal James Jackson (producer of the albums: Killers, Creatures Of The Night & Lick It Up) hosted by Keith Leroux. All kind of questions were asked, about how it was to work with Vinnie Vincent on the albums MJJ produced, the setlist of the Kulick brothers last night, how it was to work for John for the band, Lydia's work for the band and many more. Quite a interesting time we spend with this panel.
Up next was name that tune with Tommy Thayer. He did this also last year on the Kruise and we liked it. Always great to hear him play some guitarsolo's and then guess from what KISS song that solo is.
Up next we went to The Dives who played their first show. We had seen them last year on the KISS Kruise VI and all we can say they are much better now, with all gigs they've played this year in the US and as special guests during the European KISS tour in the UK, they've grown as a band! Amoung the songs they played, were all the songs from their first EP. We had a great time and we love this band!

Then we headed over to the KISS World Meet & Greet event, were you could get autograps & photo's from all the guests. When we meet Bruce he recognized us right away and was glad to see us again! We talked for a while with him and it's always great to see him again.

Also we got cool photo's with "big" John, the famous pose photo.

As on previous Kruises, there's everything going on, so it was now time for the making of the Gene Simmons Vault, hosted by the Demon himself & Keith Valcourt. There were 2 vaults placed on the stage in the Stardust theater and it was a very interresting event were you got a extreme close-up to the Vault, with some snippets of the songs that are included on the boxset and even Gene played a song on a accoustic guitar!
1 hour later it was time for: are you smarter than a rock god? with Gene again, he was competing at a panel about who was smarter. He was winning, but looses the battle after he choosed for double or nothing!
Finally it was time to go to the restaurant to grab some food, lol. Later that night we went to the show of Sophie Simmons (she was also on the last KISS Kruise) and this time she performed a lot of original songs. Also Gene & Shannon were watching her show. We loved her show and when we meet her after the show, she was so nice to us.
Here's a compilation of the photo's we took from Sophie & The Dives:

Day 3:
Yes we had our Gene cup at 9 AM and we were in Cozumel, Mexico. It was a relax day for us. We visited Cozumel and took it slow. Once back on board we did the KISS World Expo Tour, a tour on the boat that guids you by displays filled with KISS gear & costumes! So cool to see Paul's Dynasty costume for real!
We visited also the art of Paul Stanley, this year he had some new paintings aswell some cool glass sculptures!
At 6:45 PM it was our time for our photo with the band. This time we decided to switch, Marina would stand by Gene and I stood by Paul! As you all can see above, our picture turned out awesome!!!

Day 4:
Today we are in Costa Maya, Mexico. But before we went from the Pearl we made sure we had our next KISS cup, the one from Eric, lol. We liked Costa Maya more than Cozumel. When we came back and had some diner we got ready for our KISS indoor show. We didn't see anything from the show yesterday on the big screen in the Atrium, because we wanted to be suprised about the show and the setlist. We managed to didn't get any details about KISS's show last night from other fans, so we went unprepared to the show. We had better spots than last year, on Gene's side, and just waited for the show to start. A little bit later than 9:15 PM we heard the famous announcement: You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best. The Hottest Band In The World...KISS!!! The curtains went open and the band came on stage! And who had thought they would open the show with: Tomorrow & Tonight??? Wow, we cann't remember if we ever have heard this song live before. Fans were cheering and singing along. Paul said that the band decided that we fans deserved more on the KISS Kruise and they would play some very deep cuts and songs they've never played live before! All we could think, wow! And before we knew it they played Sweet Pain!
We just jumped and sang along with it, we had so much fun and you could see that the band knew that these songs were greatly accepted by the fans. When the song was over, a huge applause broke loose from the fans! Of course they played also the classics as: Flaming Youth, Hotter Than Hell & I Love It Loud. Next up was one from the album Sonic Boom, we thought it would be Say Yeah (who came along in the setlist later this night) but as Gene would sing this one, it must be something else. So to our suprise, for the first time live: Hot & Cold! The crowd went nuts! You could see the band had so much fun, just smiling all the time. But it wasn't over yet. Paul asked if we wanted to hear a song from Unmasked? We thought maybe Shandi? No, what about: Is That You? Again, never heard live before! We had a blast, wow! Before we knew it the show came to it ends. After Rock & Roll All Night we thought it was over, but they had 1 more suprise for us. They played... I from The Elder to close the show! Again the crowd went nuts and singing, jumping & dancing along.

We had a blast. KISS gave us more then we ever expected or wished for, they've deliverd a awesome show tonight! Incredible!
Here's a selection of our photo's:

Next up we went to see The Dives show in the Atrium. Again a great show of the boys.

Day 5:
After we had our last KISS cup, the one from Paul we started the day with something special. We were invited to have breakfast with The Dives!

We had fun with the guys and they were so friendly to us!
1 hour later we saw The Dives again on the pooldeck when they did their last show. We had a great time and we hope to see them on tour in Europe in the future.
Next up was the Gene Simmons Master Class event in the Stardust theater. We saw how he teach to write and make a song. Very interresting to watch. Right after we visit Tommy Thayers Book Reading event. He reads his book Ernest Hummingbird for the fans. Very funny to see Tommy do this.
Then we headed over to the Kruise kitchen, hosted by Paul Stanley. Great to see him do some cooking and make some salad with all different ingredients. He made some pasta and ceasar salad, that would be served in the restauarant later. Also he talked about his upcoming book, the next Kruise and if we wanted Bruce back. Hell yeah! And when Paul asked if we did like the setlist from the indoor shows and huge applause was to hear from the fans.
Next up was the KISS Q&A on the pooldeck. Always great to see that they make jokes about eachother, especially Eric & Gene are the ones who are picked on, lol. They announced the KISS Kruise VIII sailing from Miami from october 31th till november 5th 2018! Also they announced a new world tour, starting in 2018 for 2 years and possible 3 years. So we will see KISS next year in Europe!
Here's a selection of the photo's we took during the activities with KISS:

After the Q&A it was time for us to see our last show we wanted to see on the Kruise: Sophie Simmons in the Atrium. We had good spots and to our suprise we saw Gene & Shannon standing in the audience to see her perform! Sophie performed a great show, she's amazing and has a great voice.

Her parents loved the show as we did and Gene was taking photo's & video's of her show. I even talked to both after the show. Sophie did also a Meet & Greet and she was happy to see us and so nice to us.

So, now it was time for diner and to taste Paul's pasta and ceasar salad. All we can say it tasted so good.

The next morning, our last morning on the Norwegain Pearl. After breakfast it was time to embark the ship, but not before said goodbye to a lot of friends. During the Kruise I always got compliments about my KISS blog and that's always great to hear and that get's me inspired to do it!

We had such a awesome time again and this was our 6h KISS Kruise and every Kruise we did was special, we have no favorite, all 6 kicked ass! We hope we're sailing with KISS again on the KISS Kruise VIII next year!
Here's a last selection of our photo's about the KISS Kruise VII merchandise and all the flyers they left in our cabin each day:

Bruce Kulick NY Meet & Greet And Live Show!

During our stay in New York for the Peter Criss Meet & Greet and Landmark Tour Experience, we also went to the NY KISS Expo!
There we had our Meet & Greet with Bruce Kulick aswell his wife Lisa! Bruce was one of the special guests and as soon as he saw us he said: here are my friends from The Netherlands. He remembered that we also have meet him at the Los Angeles KISS Expo in januari and he & Lisa found it really great that we were now in NY. We let them signed a promo photo of them together and talked about several things, like the NY traffic, the Pennsylvania hotel and his first live performance with Lisa later that day. We looked forward to it. Then it was time for our photo and it turned out great! Bruce also mentioned that he will be on the KISS Kruise VII and this was great news to us, we were waiting for years for Bruce on the Kruise!

Around 6:30 PM it was time for the first live perfromance of Bruce & Lisa ever! We've made sure that we had a seat front row so that we wouldn't miss a thing. Before they began Bruce explained to the fans how this collaboration with Lisa came together. He talked about the christmas song they did performed in their living room for the fans last year. The responce on this song was great and so the idea was born that they maybe should do some recordings together. So they recorded If I Could Show You earlier this year, what resulted to this performance today.
Here's our video of the song: If I Could Show You, enjoy...

Also they played some KISS songs and it was great to hear Lisa sang and Bruce playing accoustic guitar, even the solo's and he explains these were sometimes not easy to do. And we thought it was a special moment for us when they played Forever on our 7th wedding anniversary today, because this song was played when we got married!

Other songs that were perfromed were: Reason To Live, Who Wants To Be Lonely, Reason To Live, Crazy Crazy Nights & Every Time I Look At You.
Bruce & Lisa did a great job and they had fun on stage. We had a great time to see them perform and have enjoyed it!
We're looking forward to see Bruce on the KISS Kruise VII soon...
Here is a selection of our photo's, enjoy...

New York KISS Expo!

When we were in New York for the Peter Criss Meet & Greet and Landmark Tour Experience we also attended the KISS Expo!
The expo was located on the ballroom top floor of the Pennsylvania hotel, once arrived we checked out the vendors. As a KISS collector for more than 37 years, it's not easy to find items you don't have, but we managed to find a copple of cool things.
Besides Bruce Kulick as special guest, also Big John Harte, Ken Kelly, Dennis Woloch, Lynn Goldsmith & Robert Conte were some of the guests.

Around 4 PM it was time for the Q&A with Big John, Ken, Dennis, Lynn & Robert and they all had some cool stories to tell. As we knew from the LA KISS Expo, Big John was working on a book (release mid december) and with all the stories he told today we know his book is a must have! Also photograper Lynn Goldsmith is releasing a photo book, called KISS 1977-1980 (release september) and she told a lot about it, we think it will be a awesome book. Robert Conte talked about his work for KISS during the release of the KISS remaster CD's and Dennis Woloch had also great stories to tell and we wanted to hear more from him. Funny fact was that Dennis contacted Ken Kelly to paint the Destroyer album cover and they talked about this during the Q&A.
As a fan it's always great to hear those kind of stories from these guests and we're thankfull we got a chance to meet them.

Our Peter Criss Meet & Greet Experience NY!!!

When we had a awesome meet & greet experience with Peter Criss in Los Angles, we never thought we had a chance to meet him again. So when the KISS New York Expo was announced, including to meet Peter and a KISS Landmark Tour, we knew we had to be there!

The location of the expo was on the top ballroom floor of the Pennsylvania hotel, right accros the Madison Square Garden and only 2 blocks from our hotel. We arrived around 9:30 am because with our platinum tickets we had early entry. Once at the Penn top we checked out the vendors, talked to other fans untill it was time for our meet & greet with Peter.

The meet & greet was in another room and once we got in we saw the original Catman in a great mood. When it was our turn to meet him, we were welcomed by his wife Gigi, who regonized us right away and gives us a big hug! She asked us; how we are doing and if we are doing the tour on sunday? But before we could answer she said; of course you are, if you coming over from The Netherlands. She was happy to see us. Also she told us that she visited our blog and loved it!

Then we walked over to Peter and he regonized us, we talked about meeting him in Los Angeles was so special for us. He was so thankfull and he couldn't believe that we travelled so far once again to see him. We told him that it was our 7th wedding anniversary today and Peter gives us a warm hug and said he was married for 18 happy years. Peter took all the time for us, he's such a sweetheart and really nice person and he kept smiling to us!

Then it was time for our photo with Peter and as you all can see it turned out great! After our photo was taking and we had to leave, he gives us another big hug and a few moments later Gigi did the same, saying to us; see you both tomorrow. Once again we had a incredible time meeting Peter and Gigi and we looked forward to see them again on the KISS New York Landmark Tour tomorrow...

Our NY KISS Landmark Tour With Peter Criss!

After having such a incredible time on the KISS Landmark Tour with Peter Criss in Los Angeles in januari, we decided that we would do it all over again! This time with Peter in New York!

On sunday june 11th we arrived early at the Pennsylvania hotel, to make sure we had a good spot on the bus. We were first in line and all we could do is wait for the tour to begin, in the mean time we talked to fans from all over the world. Around 11 am Peter Criss and Gigi arrived at the hotel and they both welcomed all the fans personal! When te bus arrived Peter got in first and we followed after him. First we looked were's Peter, but he went upstairs. So we did also and we got seated almost next to him, we were very happy with our spot!

We had the chance to talk with him for quite some time. We talked about his career, his music, albums and of course KISS. One of the questions we asked him if he would consider to do some final shows in Europe too, like in The Netherlands. He loved Holland and he would see if it could be done, so who knows?
Our first stop was Madison Square Garden and Peter talked about playing there with the boys and what a big deal it was to finally play there.
The next location was the famous Loft, were it all began for him & KISS. So cool to finally see it for real.

The next stop was the Dressed to Kill corner, this photo was used for the Dresssed To Kill album cover. Getting there Peter was wondering if the phone booth was still there, I suggested to him he should go inside and maybe he would come out all dressed up as the Catman, he said; maybe I'll (but the booth didn't excist anymore) Once arrived at the corner we got out of the bus to check out the spot and we took photo's from us at this famous location. Also here we had our first group photo with Peter! Of course he told some cool stories about it.
Here are we walking & talking with Peter (thanks to Masami):

Our next stop was Electric Lady Studios. Peter said that the last time he was here was 5 years ago. He talked about how it was recording here and that Eddie Kramer still works here! He also told that Eddie still has some unreleased KISS recordings? At the studio we had our second group photo and we were lucky enough to get into the photo with Peter (they split us in a few groups) because suddenly we could get inside of the Electric Lady Studio's, we couldn't believe it! This studio is one of the highlights in KISStory! We went to studio A and Peter shared some cool stories to us. Inside we got another photo with Peter and we also shoot some photo's from us inside. What a incredible experience was this!
Here's our video of Peter talking about the studio, enjoy...

Our next location was the Fillmore East, but it didn't longer excist. Peter said they played here with KISS and it's sad that all these venues aren't around anymore like the Diplomat hotel, that was our next location.
During the ride Peter talked about that Gigi wants to put a DVD out of his career, from the start (or pre-KISS) till today. He talked about Sean Delany and to our suprise that he isn't longer in touch with Gene, Paul & Ace for a long time!
Our last stop was Madison Square Garden, here we got our last photo with Peter. But first we were singing Beth together to and for him and he sang along. Here's the video:

With taking the group photo, our New York Landmark Tour came to a end. We said goodbye to Peter and he gives us a big hug!
What can we say about our tour with Peter? It was a incredible experience, we had the chance to spend some time with him and talked about all kind of things. To get inside the Electric Lady Studio's was priceless, all the stories he told, priceless!
We are happy we had the opertunity to do the KISS Landmark Tours in Los Angeles & New York. We wouldn't have missed it and are thankfull to be a part of them!
Here's a selection of photo's we took during the tour, enjoy...

Our KISS-Peter Criss New York Sightings!

When we did the New York Landmark Tour with Peter Criss on june 11th, we also planned to do our own KISS/Peter Criss sighting tour, as we did in Los Angeles! There are even more KISS sightings in New York than in LA, so we did our best to see as much spots as we can.

Our first sighting was the Madison Square Garden were KISS played several times. It was always a dream for each member of the band to play there one day and they played their first gig there in 1977! Our next stop was the Loft, were it all began for KISS, finally we saw it for real. This place has so much KISStory! Wished we could get in there. Our next location was were they shoot the album cover of Dressed To Kill. We think this is the most photograped lamppost in NY. Of course we had to take some pictures from us with it, lol.
If we wouldn't went to the Electric Lady Studio's a day before with Peter, we would have visited it, but nothing can top our experience to get inside the studio with Peter!

Our next stop the location of the glass tunnel photo shoot, we couldn't believe it that it still was there! Of course we had to make some pictures with us of the "tunnel of love" as we called it. Up next was the Diplomat hotel, but it doesn't excist anymore (it's a bank now). On july 13th 1973 KISS played their debut gig at the Diplomat. Than we headed over to the location of the wall fountain, well-known of the photo shoot with the band in 1974. Such a great spot we could have stayed there for hours. Then we went to another fountain were the band was photograped in 1974, near Central Park.

Our next sighting was Radio City were KISS performed in 1993, followed by the next KISS spot the Carnegie House, were KISS was photograped while walking to Central Park. Wasn't easy to find, because it was around the corner, lol. As we came closer to Central Park we visited the location were the cover of the Early Years book was shoot in 1974. Then we headed over to the park for our next 2 locations: the well-known photo of KISS on the stairs and the photo with the band on a field in Central Park. This last spot seems not easy to find, but we found it right away!
Next location was the Jimmy Fallon TV studio were KISS performed in 2014. Then we headed over to one of the famous KISS spots in New York: the Empire State Building! They did a photo shoot at a platform almost on the top of the building in 1976. So we had to find the exact spot were the photo was made and we found it it wasn't easy because some of the buildings are gone or have another colour, lol. Of course we took some pictures with the same buildings behind us, such a thrill to be here!

We also took a boattrip on the Hudson river and we sail under the Brooklyn bridge were KISS performed in 1996. Our last KISS spot was the USS Interprid were KISS announced their reunion tour, also in 1996.

We had such a great time visiting all these cool KISS sightings in New York. Sometimes we couldn't believe that some of these spots still excist and on the other hand it's a shame that some are gone for good. But we had a blast, it's all KISStory!
Here are the photo's of our KISS/Peter Criss Landmark Tour in New York, enjoy...

KISS Live In Rotterdam!!!

On may 24th it was time for us to see KISS live in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, our home country! This was for us our 3th and last show of their KISS World Europe 2017 Tour. We arrived around 1 PM at the Ahoy, a little tired because we came home late last night when we came back from their Frankfurt show.
We got settled in front of one of the doors and the waiting began. Because of knowing a lot of fans time flies and before we knew it the doors went open at 6:30. As soon we got through secrurity we run like hell to get, hopefully, a good spot. Once again we did, front row at the Demon's side!

Around 9 PM we heard the famous announcement: You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best. The Hottest Band In The World... KISS!!!
We were cheering, jumping, singing with every song they played. We wanted to make sure that we enjoyed every minute of it! We must say it was pretty cool when we saw Paul playing his Dutch Ibanez flag guitar, looked amazing!
Of course they did all the tricks; Gene spits fire & blood, flies during God Of Thunder, Tommy shoots of rockets and Paul flies to the little stage back in the venue. We loved the new front risers and the long range risers are amazing! The light show is fabulous in combination with the big screens and we still love the heat of the pyro's, especially during Lick It Up & God Of Thunder!

Gene spotted us again and we got his attention more than once. This time we got our hands on his water bottle that we missed at the show in Frankfurt!!! Our collection is complete now with his water bottle added next to his blood and rinsing cups, his towel and guitarpicks, we're so happy!
We had the feeling we were sucked into this show with all that was going on, like seeing them swett, laughing and especially during Rock And Roll All Night that we were covered under confetti! We loved every minute of this show and It always amaze us that they still dominate the stage after all those years! Nothing beats a KISS show! There's so much energy going around, Paul is still jumping, jiggleling, moving like he's 30! Gene is still the demon in every step of the way, his demon looks, waggle his tongue, drooling, spitting, he's almost human! Tommy running on stage with his guitar solo's and Eric's drumbeat kicks ass!

KISS Live In Frankfurt!!!

On may 23th we went on our way to see KISS live in Frankfurt, Germany!
During our drive we had mixed feelings because of the attack at the arena in Machester last night and looking forward to see KISS again, we didn't know what to expect today.
Around 12 PM we arrived at the Festhalle and only a handfull fans were waiting at the gates, we saw some familier faces. It was a hot day with a nice breeze of wind. And as usual the waiting begins.
We knew that, as soon the gates went open, we had to take stairs, than running to the secrurity gates and after that, we could get inside the venue.
Around 6 PM the gates went open and we start running to the second gates and we had 2 people for us. At 6:30 we went through secrurity and we took a sprint to the floor of the venue to get a good spot - and we did, first row again at Gene's side! After "struggling" through 2 support acts it was time for the hottest band in the world: KISS!
After the curtain felt it's party time again, seeing them on the platform coming down with all the smoke, bombs and fire is always awesome! We were rockin' on Deuce and dancing on Shout It Out Loud. Than Paul talkes about the Machester attack and the band leads a minute of silence for the terror victems. For a little time it was complete silence in the venue, but you still have some rude people who cann't shut up!

After this moment of awareness KISS picked up the show and went ahead with Lick It Up. There were some problems with Gene's airco system that had to be fixed. We had a fantastic view on the band, saw every move, swett and more. During the show Gene kept looking at us and was throwing all kind of things to us. We didn't mind and we got our hands on his towel, rinsing cup and guitarpick!!!

We almost got his waterbottle too but he would make that up to us a day later...
During Warmachine Paul came over to our side and he jiggle with his tail, so funny.
The band was in a good spirit, had funn and kicked ass again! When the confetti started during Rock And Roll All Nite it seems that it was blowned out with much more power as ussual, we almost were blowned away, lol.
Also Gene was venomous to a fan and he spoke out the F-word a few times, we don't know what was going on, but he wasn't pleased about it.

And before we knew it the show was over, again we had a blast and couldn't wait to see them tomorrow in Rotterdam! After the show we managed to got our tour book (was sold out at the Dortmund show) and tour mug.
This was the setlist:
Deuce, Shout It Out Loud, Lick It Up, I Love It Loud, Firehouse (Gene's spits fire) Shock Me (Tommy's guitar solo) Flaming Youth, God Of Thunder (Gene spits blood & flies) Crazy Crazy Nights, Warmachine, Say Yeah, Psycho Circus (Paul flies out to little stage) Black Diamond & Rock And Roll All Nite. Encores: I Was Made For Lovin' You & Detroit Rock City.

KISS Live In Dortmund!!!

After a 2 hours drive by car we arrived at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany on may 12th. Lucky enough there were only 20 fans already waiting, we knew some of them so what's better than to talk about our favorite band?
Around 5 PM the secrurity told us that we would get a green wristband to secure our spot in the inner circle! So that was a nice suprise.
Around 6:30 PM the doors went open, we were first in line at the gates, so as soon we went through them we run like hell to the stage, no one was standing there (yet) so we got the best spot in the house, front row, middle of the stage!
So, now all we could do is waiting till it's time for our favorite band!

Around 9 PM it was time for our band KISS when we heard the announcement: You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best, The Hottest Band In the World...KISS!
As soon the curtain was gone, we saw Gene, Paul & Tommy coming down on a platform to the stage with a lot of smoke and fire with Eric coming down on his drumriser behind them!
They started the show with, always a great opener, Deuce! Here's our video:

The stage was based on the Las Vegas stage from their European tour in 2015, with some new elements like a new riser at the front of the stage and new risers for Gene & Tommy during Rock And Roll All Night!
We had great spots and were so close to the stage that we could see all the sweat, every impression on their faces and we got goose bumps everytime they look straight at us!
During Lick It Up, Paul & Tommy stepped up the riser and went up for their guitar solo.
We could the feel the heat of the pyro's, we were surrounded by the smoke and that was so cool, we loved it and wouldn't chance a thing!
The band played tight and sounded great! There was a great vibe amoung the 12.000 fans at this sold out show and everybody was singing along with the songs.
During the show we had some special moments with Gene & Paul that we'll never forget!

Of course Gene spits fire during Firehouse and here's our video of it:

Also he did his bloody bass solo, flew up to the little platform above the stage to play God Of Thunder (back into the setlist this night) Tommy shooted off rockets during Shock Me and Paul flew over the crowd to the little stage to perform Psycho Circus instead of Love Gun! But Eric didn't do a drumsolo!
During Rock And Roll All Night they had new risers for Gene & Tommy as I've mentioned before. This time they weren't attached on the stage but on the rigs before/above the stage, so with this new set up the risers had a longer range and that looked so awesome!
Tonight it was also Eric's birthday and after Rock And Roll All Night he got a birthdaycake from the band and we all sang happy birthday to him!
They ended the show with Detroit Rock City and than it was all over, we were sweaty, hot, covered by confetti but feeling so excited, what a show, we had a blast!

This was the setlist:
Deuce, Shout It Out Loud, Lick It Up, I Love It Loud, Firehouse (Gene spits fire) Shock Me (Tommy guitarsolo) Flaming Youth, God Of Thunder (Gene spits blood & flies) Crazy Crazy Nights, Warmachine, Say Yeah, Psycho Circus (Paul flies to the little stage) Black Diamond & Rock And Roll All Night. Encores: I Was Made For Lovin' You & Detroit Rock City.

Every time we'll see KISS we got the chills and are so excited to see a show again, we cann't get enough of it. Especially on front row, it's like you're sucked into the show and nothing beats a KISS show, it's a experience!
We cann't wait to see them again in Frankfurt & Rotterdam soon...
